This Weekend

Yes, I realize I've taken a little too long to post again. I've been busy with school and friends.

Anyway, tonight I'm going to see Rocky Horror for the first time. Should be lots of fun. Then on Saturday, I'm going to Pensacola for a free comic book con with some friends. Pretty exciting since it's my first con. And I'm coming back Sunday.

Also, my roommate went home for the next 5 days. I'm gonna miss her! But at some point during those 5 days, she's flying up to Philadelphia for a portfolio review as the final step in her application for the art school. She's gonna text me as soon as she knows if she got in or not. Although I'm pretty sure she's gonna get in. If she doesn't, then the people in Philadelphia are stupid. She's a really good artist.

That's all for now. Hopefully I'll post either Sunday night or Monday morning about the comic book con. Although I may just wait to post on Tuesday. I don't know. I'll post sometime next week.

Stuff

So I found out today that my brother broke his hand playing football in the street. Not that surprised. And Sunday night, I got into some drama (which is never fun) but it's almost all good now. I just have to wait til a couple a people are ready to talk.

Other than that, life is good. I finished my art project and it looks good. I'll get some pictures up soon. Everybody in my class liked it a lot. And of course, while I was painting my project, I got paint on myself which has yet to come off. But that's just part of being an art student.

Anyway, time for some laundry!!! What fun! (not)

Art Project

I'm working on a new art project (which is almost finished) and it's really cool. All I have left to do is paint it. I'll post more pictures when I'm finished with it. I'm really excited about it!!! Here's what it looks like now, not painted:

It's made out of cardboard.

Anyway, hope you like it!!

Randomness

So last night I finished watching The Italian Job and then watched the special features for it. And by doing that, I learned some really cool facts about the movie. Like:

They used 32 Mini Coopers

Everything is real, there is no CGI in it at all

The actors did a vast majority of the stunts themselves

There is an Easter Egg where you get to see Seth Green (Lyle) doing different versions of his impersonation of Handsome Rob

The tunnel where Stella breaks into the safe was built in the hanger where the first space shuttle was built because it was so big and they used every inch of the space

When the helicopter is chasing Charlie, the pilot really flew the helicopter under the bridge

Hollywood Boulevard and Highland were shut down for seven days so the could shot the van falling through the road

The screen writers only saw the original movie once because they wanted the new movie to be inspired by the original, not a remake

I think that's enough random stuff for now.

So this is my first post. Hopefully I'll be able to get in the habit of posting. Anyway, I'm going to poke around and see what all I can do.
